Services provided include:

 

  • Meeting the external reporting requirements of the state and federal government
  • Developing, maintaining and disseminating institutional data used for university planning, decision-making and accreditations

 

The Department of Institutional Research serves as the coordinating base for data- gathering for external and internal reporting. It prepares a university Fact Book and a number of other periodic institutional and comparative reports. The department has the major responsibility  for compiling and filing reports required by the Mississippi IHL, the  U.S. Department of Education, and other state and federal agencies.
